This technology supports an optimized experience that eliminates the hassle of manually adjusting settings. HDR10 gaming also allows for better gameplay and near-instant responses thanks to low latency and variable refresh rate. In addition, the standard provides tools for developers to continuously improve the HDR gaming experience on all HDR10 gaming displays.

"The First Descendant" is the first game to take full advantage of the HDR10 gaming standard. It is designed to provide gamers with one of the most responsive, accurate and frictionless HDR gaming experiences.

Will the use of HDR10+ spread globally?

The HDR10 ecosystem has now grown to include 155 partners and more than 7,000 certified devices, including TVs, monitors, projectors, smartphones, tablets, set-top boxes and more. This collaboration with Nexon reinforces Samsung's commitment to providing better visual experiences beyond entertainment and media consumption.

Samsung's latest gaming monitors and TVs also support the HDR10 gaming standard. They help further strengthen the company's leadership in the gaming industry. Hyun Kim, Nexon's vice president and director of business development, said: "With the introduction of HDR10 GAMING, we are bringing games to life in a way never before possible. This partnership with Samsung also raises the bar for HDR gaming. We are excited to bring this new standard of image quality for video games."
