If you are a gamer, you already know who Mike Shroud Grzesiek is. For those who don’t, he is one Twitch’s superstar, who was originally a professional CS:GO player for Cloud9. He later retired and took up streaming on Twitch professionally. He was among the biggest streamers on Twitch at the top with Ninja and Dr. Disrespect. Currently, he is the third highest subscribed streamer on Twitch.

The announcement was made by Shroud who posted a short video clip on Twitch.

Shortly after the announcement, his Mixer channel went live. The channel currently shows a countdown, which we can safely assume to be counting down to when he will go live on the platform. According to the countdown he will go live today at 5:30 AM IST. His live countdown at the time of writing has 17k live viewers and 107k total views. His channel also already has 63k followers. Mixer is also offering a one month free subscription to his channel.

As of now, the details of his deal with Mixer are unknown and if Ninja’s deal is anything to go by, it might remain under wraps. Ninja’s wife earlier in an interview had said that Mixer was lenient with their contract and offered a better deal than Twitch other than just the money. We can assume the same in Shroud’s case as well since even Ninja has not been getting as many views on Mixer as he used to. For now, Shroud has not released any statement regarding the move.

Shroud’s move from Twitch to Mixer is sure to hit Twitch right where it hurts. Mixer now has two of Twitch’s biggest stars streaming for them exclusively and it will be interesting to see how Twitch will respond.
