Sony Announces Discount on PlayStation 5: Get it at Rs 47,490 for Now

For those wishing to purchase a new Sony PlayStation 5, Sony India has excellent news. Given that the firm has announced a limited-time discount offer for its most recent PlayStation 5 system, this may be the ideal moment for buyers to purchase the machine. Customers will be able to purchase the PS5 console at a reduced cost during the promotion days. Retail outlets and online platforms that are participating will provide the discounted pricing.

Sony PS5 promotional offer: Dates and availability

The Sony PS5 sale starts on August 24th and continues until September 2nd. During this time, the PS5 console will be available at Rs 47,490 after a discount of Rs 7,500. PS5 consoles discount available at Amazon, Flipkart, Shopatsc, Reliance, Croma, Vijay Sales and other select retailers.

This isn't Sony's first discount for PS5 consoles. In July, the company introduced a similar offer for the PS5, where the consoles were also available at a discount of Rs 7,500. Last month, Sony also announced that the company's video game division sold more than 40 million PlayStation 5 consoles. The company considered mitigating supply chain issues a milestone.

PS5 versions

The PS5 game console has two versions - Standard and Digital Edition. The difference between the Digital Edition and the Standard is that the latter supports physical Blu-ray discs. The digital version has support for 16GB of GDDR6 RAM and 825GB of internal memory. It runs on an octa-core processor based on the Zen 2 architecture.

The gaming console offers 8K gaming support at up to 120 frames per second. The PS5 also supports gaming on a 4K TV to deliver a 120Hz refresh rate. There is also technical support for HDR TV. Sony's next generation supports Tempest 3D AudioTech, which is said to deliver an immersive gaming experience. The device also comes with a Dual Sense controller that provides better haptic feedback.

Sony PS5 Sale: Discounted Price

In 2022, Sony has increased the price of PlayStation 5 Digital Edition and Disc Edition by Rs 5,000. After the price hike, the slab version has been priced at Rs 54,999, which was earlier Rs 49,990.  With this new promotion, Sony is offering a solid discount of Rs 7,500 on the Disc Edition. This discount will help customers buy the console at Rs 47,490.
