Sony Extends its PS5 Cloud Gaming Services, Members with Premium Subscription to Get Multiple Options

Sony has added further information regarding PS5 cloud streaming. The PlayStation Plus Premium, the top-tier membership plan, has revealed that several titles, including Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Horizon Forbidden West, Ghost of Tsushima, and others, would be playable online without the need to download them.

The business declared, "Starting this month, we'll start rolling out cloud streaming access for compatible PS5 digital titles within the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog and Game Trials, as well as supported titles in the PS5 game library that PlayStation Plus Premium members own.

PS5 cloud streaming availability

PS5 cloud streaming will launch this month for PlayStation Plus Premium members. Sony said this is a big undertaking for the company, so it plans to take a regional, phased approach. According to the latest reports, Sony plans to launch in Japan on October 17th, Europe on October 23rd and North America on October 30th.

PS5 cloud streaming games

Sony will offer select PS5 games for streaming and "plans for hundreds of PS5 games to support this new benefit. The best PS5 hits from the PlayStation Plus catalog including Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Horizon Forbidden West, Ghost of Tsushima, Mortal Kombat 11 and Saints Row IV. Gameplay for PS5 games like Hogwarts Legacy, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and The Calisto Protocol.

Other PS5 digital titles available for streaming to PlayStation Plus Premium members include Resident Evil 4, Dead Island 2, Genshin Impact, Fall Guys and Fortnite.

PlayStation Plus Premium members will also see features available with the PS5 streaming benefit. Here it is:

• Downloadable content and in-game purchases are available for streaming PS5 games, including DLCs and add-ons, as well as purchased from downloadable games. 
• High quality resolution options including 4K, 1440p, 1080p and 720p, 60fps and SDR or HDR output. Improved audio supporting all PS5 audio features including 5.1 and 7.1 and Tempest 3D Audiotech.
• Take screenshots and record up to 3 minutes of video, which will be uploaded to your PS5 media gallery and also available in the PS media gallery.
• The PS5 streaming feature is automatically added to those with a PlayStation Plus Premium membership.
