Sony Releases PlayStation VR2 for Sale in India

In India, the PlayStation VR2 from Sony is currently on sale. Earlier this year, the PlayStation VR2 was revealed for overseas markets. With more than 20 games compatible with the PlayStation VR2, one of the standout titles is Horizon: Call of the Mountain, which is based on Sony's Horizon franchise. Here in India, Sony has recently introduced the PlayStation VR2 Horizon Call of the Mountain combo.

PlayStation VR2: Specifications and details

The second-generation PlayStation VR headset has significant improvements over its predecessors, including an OLED screen with a 110-degree field of view, support for 4K HDR playback, and a 120Hz refresh rate. The headset also has four front-facing cameras that enable transparency, a custom playground, and other features. In addition, the new spherical controllers have adaptive triggers and haptic feedback such as DualSense and the ability to detect finger touches. 

The PlayStation VR2 headset has a major limitation: it only works with the PlayStation 5 console. Therefore, to use the VR headset, it is necessary to purchase a PS5 console. The PlayStation 5 console costs Rs 44,990 for the digital version and Rs 54,990 for the disc version. 

PlayStation VR2: Price and Availability in India 

The PlayStation VR2 is available for purchase at the Sony Store. The retail package includes the headset, Sense controllers, and headphones for Rs 57,999. A charging dock for the Sense controller will be available separately, but there's no word yet on its price. The PlayStation VR2 Horizon Call of the Mountain bundle is also on sale at Rs 61,999.

The package includes a PSVR headset, a PlayStation VR2 Sense controller (left/right) with attached straps, a USB cable to connect and charge the controller, a stereo headset, three pairs of headphones, and printed materials. In addition, you will receive a PlayStation Store voucher code for Horizon Call of the Mountain.
