Tecno Unveils Cutting Edge Camera Technologies
Tecno has introduced three new camera technology that will most likely be featured in future smartphones. These new technologies are said to increase the output quality of phone cameras and provide users with a better picture experience. The technologies disclosed are the W-shaped Adjustable Physical Aperture, an industry-first Liquid Telephoto Macro Lens, and a Universal Tone imaging system. According to the business, these characteristics, artificial intelligence, bionic vision, and other innovations result in better images than previous models.
The new technologies were unveiled in Shanghai
The new technologies were unveiled in Shanghai at Tecno's Future Lens 2023 event. According to an official press release, these new capabilities will be employed in forthcoming smartphones in the following year, but the models have yet to be confirmed. These features will likely be included in the future Tecno Phantom X handsets. Notably, in December 2022, the Phantom X2 and X2 Pro were released in China.
All about Tecno's innovative W-shaped Adjustable Physical Aperture technology
Tecno's innovative W-shaped Adjustable Physical Aperture technology uses bionic vision to provide solutions for overexposed, heavily backlit photos. According to the firm, this allows for more precise light management than standard lenses and avoids glare in photos. It is touted to produce an optimum balance of light and shade in the obtained images.
The Liquid Telephoto Macro Lens, on the other hand, promises to be the first smartphone periscope telephoto camera to use the technology. Tecno claims to improve focus speed and provide a more fluid zoom experience. It is believed to employ voltage to alter lens curvature rather than other low-yielding yet costly approaches used in standard lenses. This feature is touted to deliver image outputs with minute, exact features in a compact form factor by utilising a big sensor.
Finally, Tecno has focused on creating a technology that may assist phone cameras in replicating skin tones more accurately than most other phone cameras on the market. Tecno says their Universal Tone technology provides customers with comprehensive skin tone data in their photographs. This AI-powered functionality results from extensive research by teams from top universities. It is touted to provide colourful, lifelike photos and videos.
