How are you enabling zero delays?

Instead of centralizing digital content (such as images, web objects, files, downloadable media and streaming media), on a relatively small number of servers, the content is cached across many servers (aka Points of Presence or PoP) and distributed around the globe. The desired content is retrieved from the closest CDN edge server, rather than going all the way back to the origin to retrieve it. This results in much better performance (lower latency) for the customers. It also avoids overloading the origin and allows the audience to scale.

How are you ensuring secure and seamless content delivery?

Livestreaming has been widely embraced by the digital community and platforms are now competing to provide low latency live streaming to their users. With the rise in demand and consumption for content, live streaming low-latency feature for any platform looking to establish a following.

What are the cyber threats that organizations are currently facing?

A myriad of cyberthreats like identity theft, personal data leak, phishing attacks, DDoS, zero-day application exploits, and ransomware assaults cause adverse impact to organizations. Edgio provides security at scale to counter these threats. Our security features run on a globally distributed private network with over 250+ Tbps, which is far beyond the largest known 3.5 Tbps DDoS attack in history.

At Edgio, we are proud to have prevented one of the largest DDoS attacks measuring 176 million packets per second (Mpps), which targeted a multinational e-commerce client based in Asia. Our system worked 24x7x365 to analyse samples of all packets that traverse our network, score them for threats, and automatically take action when necessary. Through visibility and alerts, Edgio’s network operations centre (NOC) performed additional analysis and took mitigative action promptly.
