Upcoming Smartphones to Lookout for in May 2021

The smartphone market is ever expanding with the latest launches hitting the market every day. The month of May is here, and we have curated a list of smartphones that you should be looking out for in this month. These phones are not from the same budget category but are phones that are supposed to come to the market irrespective of the budget. The list is also specific to the Indian market and would not include phones launched internationally.

Samsung

One of the giants in smartphone market, Samsung, is supposed to come out with a number of smartphones with 5G capabilities. These smartphones will be from all the line-ups that the company has to offer. Some of the phones that can be seen by the consumers in the month of May will be, but are not limited to, the Galaxy M62, F42, A 22. These are some of the phones that will be seen in the market among others from Samsung.

Micromax

Micromax has been trying to make a comeback into the smartphone market for some time now but the plans of the company seem to be getting delayed for a while. The company could be coming out with the IN Note1 Pro. The phone might come out with a 90Hz refresh rate screen. This might also be the last phone in the IN1 series. The series might continue as IN 2, etc. For the time being, there is a possibility of seeing the IN Note1 in the month of May.

Motorola

The recent launches of the brand in the Indian market have been effective. The price to performance ratio is good and the devices perform extremely well. The Moto G100 can be making its entrance in the Indian market with Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 that might be priced at INR 20-25K. The phone with good pricing and good specs has a high chance of being seen in the Indian market.

Nokia

Nokia keeps coming out with new smartphones sporadically but none of them are able to leave a lasting impact on the Indian market. The Nokia X10 and X20 smartphones can be launching in the month of May. These phones will be coming out with the Snapdragon 485G processor. Although the pricing of Nokia phones stay on the higher side but the launch price is yet to be seen in India.

OnePlus

In 2020, OnePlus Nord made its presence felt in the budget flagship category, and some more phones were even launched outside India in the same line-up. There is a high possibility of some movement to be seen in the Indian market with the Nord line-up. OnePlus might be keen on capturing the budget-flagship market and this will be the first step towards it.

Iqoo

The Iqoo Z3 is a budget phone that has a possibility of coming to India. Phones like the Iqoo 7 are flagship devices that deliver high performance but the Z3 would be targetted towards the budget consumers. It will be interesting to see how Iqoo flares in the budget range.

Vivo

Vivo has recently launched the V21 in India, and it might be coming out with the Vivo V21e and the V21 Pro. The launch of V21Pro is not yet confirmed but the V21e could be seen in the Indian markets in May.
