If you thought that Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla looked and felt a lot like History Channel’s popular TV show Vikings, you are not alone. Looks like the visuals won’t be the only thing that will remind you of the show. Apparently, Ubisoft has also roped in Einar Selvik for Valhlalla’s music. Selvik has been credited for vocals and ancient Norse instruments in the show’s all six seasons.
Apart from composing music for Vikings, Einar Selvik is also known for his 4 year stint as a drummer for Gorgoroth, a Norwegian black metal band. Back then, he used to wear corpse paint and was known by his stage name Kvitrafn. He left the band in 2004 and started to work full time on his Norwegian folk band Wardruna with ex Gorgoroth vocalist Gaahl.
The news of Selvik working on Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla was broken by Access the Animus on twitter. The information first appeared on German Storefront of Ubisoft with a text that said: “A selected soundtrack of the game with music by the renowned composers Jesper Kyd, Sarah Schachner, and Einar Selvik.”
Now the text has been changed to “a selected game soundtrack”, but screenshots were already taken.
Apparently the German Ubisoft Store reported that the soundtrack of #AssassinsCreed Valhalla will be composed by Jesper Kyd, Sarah Shachner and Einar Selvik (who composed for the Vikings TV series!) pic.twitter.com/fDdE46l8Hl

The other two composers Jesper Kyd and Sarah Schachner are also veteran video game composers, both of them having worked on the AC series before. Kyd worked on all the AC games until Revelations and was the person who composed the now iconic theme from Assassin’s Creed II. Sarah Schachner has worked on Unity and Origins along with other games like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.
