Vivo V29 5G, Vivo V29 Pro 5G Details Tipped; will Launch Soon in India

Later this month, the Vivo V29 5G and Vivo V29 Pro 5G are anticipated to become official. Online leaks have revealed the unannounced Vivo V-series smartphones' characteristics before their official introduction.

They are anticipated to have a 1.5K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 3D curved AMOLED display. According to reports, the Vivo V29 5G and Vivo V29 Pro 5G both enable 80W rapid charging. In July, the Snapdragon 778G-powered Vivo V29 5G made its debut in a few European nations.

Performance and Features

A report by 91Mobiles, citing industry sources, says that the Vivo V29 5G and Vivo V29 Pro 5G will have curved 3D  AMOLED displays with 1.5K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10 certification.  Both models are said to have a lightweight build and slim design, and can offer 80W charging speeds.

The vanilla Vivo V29 5G is said to pack an ISOCELL GN5 sensor, while the Vivo V29 Pro 5G may pack a Sony IMX766 sensor. India's Vivo V29 5G  would have the same hardware and design elements that were previously launched in certain markets. It comes in Majestic Red, Himalayan Blue, Purple Fairy and Space Black color options and  three RAM and storage configurations – 8GB 128GB, 8GB 256GB and 12GB 256GB.

The Vivo V29 5G global variant runs on Android 13-based Funtouch OS 13 and has a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display (1260 x 2800 pixels)  with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G processor paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

Camera and Battery details

It has a triple rear camera setup that includes a 50-megapixel primary camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2-megapixel macro shooter.

There is a 50-megapixel front camera for selfies. Connectivity options on  Vivo V29 5G include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, USB Type-C port, NavIC, OTG, GPS and NFC. Sensors on the device include  accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope and proximity sensor. It also has a waterproof IP68 build.

Vivo has also packed the phone with an in-display fingerprint sensor. The global version is equipped with a 4600mAh battery that supports 80W fast charging.
