Tech giant Microsoft is said to be working on special Fortnite-style version of the company’s Xbox One S console. According to a report in WinFuture, the company will launch Xbox One S Fortnite edition in the coming weeks, which as the name suggests will bring a cheer to the Fortnite fans.

The Xbox One S Fortnite edition is expected to come with a ‘Dark Vertex’ skin and 2000 V-Bucks in-game currency. The said Xbox One S Fortnite edition bundle will also include a month of Xbox Live Gold, EA Access, and Xbox Game Pass.

While it’s not yet official as to when the new colour variant will be introduced, but according to the media reports, the Xbox One S Fortnite edition will cost $299 with 1TB of storage and the Blu-ray optical drive. This isn’t the first-time Microsoft is making a customised edition of the Xbox One S, the company earlier created limited edition version of the Xbox One S for Minecraft that came with Minecraft blocks inscribed into the console.

Microsoft’s annual E3 press conference is slated for June 9 and the company is promising to ‘go big this’ year. We expect the Xbox One S Fortnite edition could be launched at this conference. The company will also be outlining plans for its xCloud game streaming service, and is rumoured to unveil a new Gears 5 game, a Fable reboot, and the next-generation Anaconda Xbox console.

Microsoft is testing the XCloud service with its employees recently that allows them to take the service anywhere to test streaming of Xbox games. The company is also building its servers fri the service and says that the xCloud is technically sound to stream over 3,500 games without asking developers to make changes to their titles.

Once launched, the xCloud service will compete with Sony’s PlayStation Now service and Google’s upcoming Stadia cloud streaming service.
