Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi might launch the Redmi Note 2 in the last week of June 2015. The company's CEO Lei Jun has revealed the launch date for the successor to the Redmi Note smartphone. He said that the company is planning to introduce the next Note smartphone via a post on Weibo. The official confirmation from Xiaomi comes within a week after the Redmi Note 2 reportedly was certified in China.

The leaked specifications suggests that the Redmi Note 2 might feature a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) display; the latest Android 5.0.2 with MIUI on top; a 13-megapixel rear shooter coupled with a 5-megapixel front camera. The smartphone might have a 3200 mAh battery unit. The smartphone is said to support 4G LTE network connectivity and MediaTek's premium Helio X10 (MT6795) chipset or a Snapdragon 410 (MSM8919) processor.

Earlier, the Chinese company recently claimed that it sold 10 million Mi 4 smartphones worldwide. Additionally, a Xiaomi spokesperson was cited to claim the company surpassed 6 million shipments of the Mi Band fitness tracker worldwide. Xiaomi's recently launched Mi4i  and their affordable Mi Band have received mixed reviews from consumers.
