Xiaomi Launches Redmi 9 Prime in India at Rs. 9999 with Mediatek G80

Xiaomi India has finally launched the new Redmi 9 Prime in India. This will be a budget smartphone by Xiaomi in India and is priced at Rs. 9,999. Xiaomi is bringing the Global variant of Redmi 9 Prime in India after almost a month of its initial launch in Spain. The new redmi 9 prime will compete directly with the Realme Nazro series and other sub Rs. 10,000 smartphones in India.

Redmi 9 Prime Indian Unit Specifications:

The Redmi 9 Prime in India will be powered by the Mediatek Helios G80 processor. This is an octa-core processor by Mediatek and has the Mali G52 GPU. There is 4GB of Ram and storage up to 128GB. The Redmi 9 prime will come in two variants in India. One with 4GB of Ram and 64GB of internal storage priced at Rs. 9,999. The other variant will come with 4GB of ram and 128 GB of internal storage priced at Rs. 11,999. Both variants will come with all the same specifications except the storage. On the back of the device, there is a quad camera setup. The first camera is a 13MP shooter. The secondary camera is an 8MP ultra-wide sensor. The third camera is a 5MP macro lens and the fourth camera is a 2MP depth sensor. There is a fingerprint reader at the back of the device. 

The display is the highlight of the device. The display panel of Redmi 9 Prime supports FHD+ resolution and comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for protection. There is support for Dual-sims with MicroSD cards of up to 512GB. The battery capacity of the device is massive. There is a 5020mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging. When it comes to connectivity, the Redmi 9 Prime is loaded. There is support for 4G, dual-band wifi, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, 3.5mm audio jack, USB Type-C port, and an IR blaster. Out of the box the Redmi 9 Prime will run on Android 10 with MIUI on top. 

Redmi 9 Prime Price in India and Sale

The Redmi 9 prime will go on sale in India on 6th August via Amazon and Xiaomi India website. The device will be available in four color options Space Blue, Mint Green, Sunrise Flare, and Matt Black. The price of the 4GB ram with 64GB storage variant will be Rs. 9,999 and 11,999 for 128GB variant.
