Xiaomi's Mi Home Store will offer wide range of company's products like power banks, Bluetooth speakers, headphones, air purifiers, fitness bands and more.

Last year, the company opened a similar store in Singapore and already has such outlets in Hong Kong, China and Taiwan.

Earlier today, Xiaomi launched an e-waste management programme in India. Dubbed 'Mi India Product Take-Back & Recycling Program,' the initiative involves taking non-operational technology products across multiple brands and categories. The service also adheres to the E-waste management rules issued by the Ministry of Environment and Forests, Government of India.

Xiaomi will also be giving a discount coupon of Rs 100 against the procured non-operational products, which can be later used on the company's online store against a minimum purchase of Rs 1,000.

If users want to give away a non-functional product, they just need to login to their Mi account and fill up a form. Once this is done, Xiaomi's authorized recycler will contact them within 7 days. The product itself will be collected within 15 days of raising the request. Xiaomi won't be charging any fees from the users for the service.
