Currently, only Samsung has developed a ISOCELL Bright GW1 sensor that offers a 64MP resolution, so Xiaomi could use this sensor on its Redmi K20 Pro smartphone. The 64MP ISOCELL Bright GW1 sensor comes with 0.8μm pixel size and supports 4-in-1 Tetracell technology, which is Samsung’s marketing term for 4-in-1 pixel binning. The tetracell technology will allow the 64MP image to be condensed into 16MP shots for an improved day-time lighting and impressive low-light performance. And just like Xiaomi allows 48MP images in Pro mode in Redmi Note 7 Pro, users will be able to shoot 64MP resolution pictures in the Pro mode of the Redmi K20 Pro.

The Redmi K20 Pro will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 powered smartphone. The device is expected sport a 6.30-inch AMOLED screen, a new generation of in-display fingerprint scanner, 4,000mAh battery with 27W fast charging support. Additionally, the Redmi K20 Pro will have a 3.5mm audio jack and will support NFC.

The smartphone is expected to come in 6GB/8GB of RAM variants with the choice of 64, 128 and 256GB internal storage options. There could be carbon fiber black, glacier blue, and flame red colour options.

Driven by new product launches, Xiaomi remained the market leader in India in the first quarter of 2019, said a report by Counterpoint Research. Xiaomi Redmi 6A remained the top model following multiple price cuts followed by Xiaomi Note 6 Pro, Redmi Y2, Samsung Galaxy M20, and Galaxy A50.
