Earlier this month, Xiaomi officially announced that the Redmi Note 7 smartphone will be launched on February 28 in India. While the specs are already known, the availability was still in the hiding. But no more, as Flipkart has listed the Redmi Note 7 on its platform with the hashtag ‘#JustHere’.

The phone will be available in twilight gold, fantasy blue and bright black colours.

The main USP of the device is a 48MP rear camera – that too at an affordable price. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 is expected to come with a 6.3-inch display with a water drop notch, a glass back and a dual-camera setup comprising of a 48MP+5MP sensor, surrounded by a fingerprint scanner.

The device will come in two variants 3GB or 4GB RAM, and will be powered by octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset with 32GB or 64GB internal memory, respectively. According to the rumours, Xiaomi could also launch a 6GB RAM variant with 128GB of storage.

Further, there will be a 4,800mAh battery with support for Qualcomm Quick Charge 4.0 support for fast charging. While, the approximate price for the base variant of the Redmi Note 7 could be Rs 9,999, the top-end variant might cost Rs 11,999, media reported.

Earlier, Xiaomi announced to make ‘Redmi’ an independent brand. The Redmi Note 7 was launched as the first phone another the independent Redmi brand in China on January 10. According to Xiaomi Founder Lei Jun, the reason behind splitting up Redmi and Xiaomi is the ‘focus.’

‘While the Redmi brand focuses on value-for-money budget smartphones, the Mi brand is focused on high-end devices. Also, the Redmi devices are primarily sold through e-commerce platforms, while Mi devices are not e-commerce focused,’ Jun said in a statement earlier.

‘Xiaomi shipped 11.7 million units and became the top brand in the Indian market with 27.3 per cent share in the third quarter of 2018,’ IDC reported.
