Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 slated for February 20 launch in India

China’s Xiaomi has finally said that the much-anticipated Redmi Note 7 will launch on February 20 In India. The main highlight of the device is the 48MP rear camera at a wallet friendly price. The company has sent out official media invites for the same.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 is expected to come with a 6.3-inch display with water drop notch, glass back and a dual-camera setup comprising of 48MP+5MP sensor, surrounded by a fingerprint scanner.

The device will come in two variants 3GB or 4GB RAM, and will be powered by octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset with 32GB or 64GB internal memory, respectively. According to the rumours, Xiaomi could also launch a 6GB RAM variant with 128GB of storage.

Further, there will be a 4,800mAh battery with support for Qualcomm Quick Charge 4.0 support for fast charging. While, the approximate price for the base variant of the Redmi Note 7 could be Rs 9,999, the top-end variant might cost Rs 11,999, media reported.

The Redmi Note 7 was first launched in China and its sale crossed 10 million mark in just a month. Earlier this month, Xiaomi’s General Manager Lu Weibing shared a Weibo post of him and other Redmi team members in the Shenzhen R&D facility mentioning the upcoming Redmi Note 7 Pro and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 flagship.

In November of 2018, the Chinese smartphone maker reported a 49.1 per cent increase in revenue in the third quarter of 2018, as the net profit totalled 2.48 billion yuan ($357.23 million). The company’s smartphone shipments in India grew a healthy 31 per cent, helping the brand reach top spot in India in terms of market share.
