Xiaomi today announced a new smartphone in its already best-selling Redmi Note 7 line-up – Redmi Note 7S with the 48MP camera. The smartphone is powered by the Kryo processing thanks to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 AIE. According to Xiaomi, the Redmi Note 7S is launched after the planned volumes of Redmi Note 7 sold out sooner than anticipated. Redmi Note 7S vs Redmi Note 7 Pro: Design and display

The Redmi Note 7S with a 6.3-inch full HD+ (2340 × 1080p) dot notch display and the design is further complemented by the Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on both the front and back. On the other hand, the Redmi Note 7 Pro sports a 6.3-inch IPS LCD display with 2340×1080 pixels resolution and 19.5:9 aspect ratio with a similar dot notch display.

The Note 7 Pro is powered by the Sony’s IMX586 sensor also present in the OnePlus 7 Pro, the Redmi Note 7 has Samsung’s GM1 sensor. The 48MP image sensor on the Note 7 Pro has a ½-inch large sensor size, a wide f/1.79 aperture and a 6-piece lens. Besides that, features such as MIUI’s AI scene detection, AI portrait besides AI face unlock are present in both the phones. Both the smartphone has 13MP front camera.

Both the smartphones run on MIUI 10 based on Android 9 Pie. The Redmi Note 7 Pro is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 processor having eight Kryo 460 cores — two ARM Cortex-A76 and six ARM Cortex-A55 cores that make the SoC ideal for all users. The Redmi Note 7 Pro comes in 4GB and 6GB RAM variants.

The Redmi Note 7S is powered by the octa-core 2.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor. The smartphone comes in 3GB and 4GB RAM variants. Both the smartphones are powered by the 4,000mAh battery.
