Despite the slowdown in the Indian smartphone market, a few brands namely Xioami, Vivo and Realme have witnessed a positive growth thanks to the aggressive pricing and strong portfolio of devices across wide price spectrum. Xiaomi has been uberly popular among Indian consumers thanks to the availability of high-end features in an affordable package. Continuing the same trend, the Chinese smartphone maker is set to launch a new smartphone – the Redmi Note 8T that will succeed in the Note 8 series, introduced earlier this year.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 8T: Specs
The Redmi Note 8T will come with a quad-camera setup consisting of a primary 48MP camera and a 6.3-inch display with a dewdrop notch. The smartphone’s display will be protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 5 both at the front and the back. Additionally, there will be a 4,000mAh battery, a USB Type-C port, and support for 18W fast charging.
The smartphone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC and would come in multiple RAM and storage variants viz. 3GB/32GB of storage, 4GB/64GB and 4GB/128GB of storage. There are no details as of now for the pricing.
The Redmi Note 8T will be a successor to Redmi Note 8 Pro. The price for the Redmi Note 8 Pro starts at Rs 14,999 for the 6GB/64GB storage variant, the 6GB/128GB version costs Rs 15,999 and the 8GB/128GB storage variant is priced at Rs 17,999. The smartphone is available in Gamma Green, Halo White, and Shadow Black colors. The Redmi Note 8 Pro comes in a refreshed Aura Design with a Gamma Green color finish and dual Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The smartphone sports an HD+ 16.5 cm (6.53) dot notch display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio with slim bezels across all sides. Additionally, there is a 3D curved glass at the back to make an ergonomic hand feel with a thickness of only 8.8 mm.
The Redmi Note 8 Pro is powered by the octa-core Helio G90T mobile processor and comes with a 4,500mAh battery with an 18W charger inbox. The quad-camera setup was seen first time on the Redmi Note 8 Pro. It includes a 64MP main camera, an ultra-wide-angle lens with a 120-degree field of view, a depth sensor and a macro lens that allows you to go as close as 2cm to the subject, for photos as well as videos.
