Manu Jain the VP of Xiaomi India tweeted from his official twitter account that a new beast is coming. In the tweet, there was a picture of a wrestling belt with the redmi 9 note written on it. Now it is confirmed that the new Redmi Note 9 is coming to India. Redmi Note 9 is powered by the Mediatek Helio G85 processor and comes with 4GB of Ram. Xiaomi is already selling the Redmi Note 9 Pro in India right now. It seems that the new Redmi Note 9 is going to be a budget offering from Xiaomi. The launch dates have not been disclosed yet but from the tweet, we gather that Redmi Note 9 will be in India soon.

Redmi Note 9 Mediatek Variant:

The Mediatek variant of Redmi Note 9 comes with the Mediatek helios G85 processor. There is a 6.53-inch display with a front camera punch hole at the top of the display instead of a notch. The display is an IPS LCD panel with a 1080 x 2340 resolution. There is corning gorilla glass 5 for protection. There are two variants with different storage configurations. One comes with 64GB of internal storage and 3GB of Ram. The other comes with 128GB of storage and 4GB of Ram. Storage can be expanded via MicroSD card. The front camera is a 13MP shooter. The back camera has a quad-camera setup. The primary lens is a 48MP shooter. The secondary lens is an 8MP ultrawide lens. The third is a 2MP macro sensor and then there is a 2MP depth sensor. Redmi Note 9 comes with a 5020mAh battery with support for fast charging. There is a fingerprint sensor at the back of the smartphone. The smartphone supports dual-band wifi, Bluetooth 5.0, IR blaster, and NFC. Out of the box, the Redmi Note 9 will run on Android 10 with MIUI on top.
