Mobile Gaming has taken the world of video games by storm. The battle royale genre has become hugely popular, as can be seen from the likes of Call of Duty Mobile and PUBG Mobile. EA might be jumping upon the band wagon soon, with Apex Legends Mobile.

According to DOT Esports, the future plans for Apex Legends were revealed at EA’s recent earnings call. EA CEO Andrew Wilson talked about the game’s expansion to different platforms, including mobile. EA’s CFO and COO Blake Jorgensen further revealed a rough estimation, “fiscal year 2021”, which actually begins in Oct 2020.

This announcement comes just at the heels of Apex Legends acquiring a total of 70 million players. The game only took 9 months to achieve this. But it should be no surprise since Apex Legends had a massive opening, garnering 10 million players in just three days, 25 million in a week and then hitting 50 million players in a month. The slowdown from 50 million to 70 million can be attributed to the fact that Apex Legends had a massive cheating problem. But things seem to be back on track for the game after the release of their latest season which adds an all new map.
