PC has been getting a lot of love from developers lately. Some of the best and most hyped games of the decade, which were console exclusives, are finally making their way to PC. First, it was Red Dead Redemption 2, then Hideo Kojima’s very divisive Death Stranding which was originally a PS4 exclusive, then another PS4 exclusive, Detroit: Become Human was announced for PC and then the whole of Halo series in the form of The Master Chief Collection, which was originally available only on the Xbox. The most shocking, though not exciting, of these was the announcement of Detroit: Become Human PC.

For those not in the loop, in Detroit: Become Human, players take control of three different androids and most of the gameplay is centred on decision making through quicktime events and dialogue options. Your decisions can cause any of the three characters to die, and the game will continue without the dead android. The game reportedly has somewhere around 40 to 45 different endings. Due to its take on duality and morality and the fact that it is one of the best looking games on PS4, the game received rave reviews upon its release.

Yesterday, Quantic Dream, the developer of Detroit: Become Human, revealed the System Requirements for Detroit: Become Human PC:

Minimum Requirements

  • OS: Windows 10 (64 bit)
  • Processor: Intel Core i7-3770 @ 3.4 GHz or AMD FX-8350, 4.2 GHz (6 to 8 logical cores minimum highly recommended)
  • Memory: 8GB RAM
  • Video: Nvidia GeForce GTX 780 or AMD Radeon HD 7950
  • Video RAM: 3GB or more

Recommended Requirements:

  • OS: Windows 10 (64 bit)
  • Processor: i5-8400 @ 2.8GHz or Ryzen 5 1600
  • Memory: 16GB RAM
  • Video: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 or AMD Radeon RX 580
  • Video RAM: 4GB or more

As we can see, Detroit: Become Human PC seems a bit heavy on the processor, but the Graphic Card requirements are quite reasonable.

The game will be available for download starting December 12th on Epic Store. A playable demo will also be available on the same date.
