A day before we reported of a pro driver cheating in the Formula E esports championship. Today a professional Fortnite player from Japan, Sekosama was banned for cheating in an FNCS tournament for Asia.
Sekosama had been found teaming in a solos tournament. Teaming is when players work in collaboration with their “supposed” opponents to get better points, loots and kills. And since it was a solos tournament it was prohibited. According to Dexerto, his teammate dropped caches of important loot like health packs in specific locations for him to pick them up.
今日のFNCS見てたけど、Qoo選手がメディキットとふろっぱー入れ替えたっていう情報手に入れようないのに何でメディキのほうに一直線で走ってるの?最初からそこにあるってわかってるみたい。通話してたらしいし。 pic.twitter.com/cbXfwOq4sy

He also allegedly helped him finish off the kills so Sekosama could get points for elimination. It was also alleged that the Japanese player was on a call with his other “teammate”.

After the incident came to light, Epic announced a ban on Sekosama form Fortnite for a fortnight and also rescinded his prize money. He denied teaming and said that he won using his own ability.
