How to see your phone's Android notifications on Windows 10 PC

You can check android notifications of your phone on Windows 10 PC. This can be done by installing the 'Your Phone' app from the Microsoft Store on your PC.

We all have and still go through the phase in our days, when we are working on a laptop, but are constantly disturbed by the notifications arriving on Android phones. While few apps such as WhatsApp, Instagram allow you to use their web versions, but not all apps let you do the same. But, Microsoft has finally made a system in its Windows 10 PCs that lets you check almost all the android notifications from your phone onto Windows 10 PC.

You can check messages as they land on your phone. You can also reply to them and also compose a new text message.

Here is how to do it.

Download the latest version of the ‘Your Phone’ app from the Microsoft Store. If it's not updated to the latest version, click on the three-dot menu button located next to the ‘Launch’ command. If, an ‘Update’ is shown, click on it.

Now open the app and click on the Android box, then onto ‘Get started.’

Type in your phone number on the next screen.

Steps to do on your Android phone

Install the ‘Your Phone Companion’ app from the Play Store. Sign in with Microsoft.  Use the same account to log in as you did on your computer.

The next screen will prompt you to give permissions, grant them. The app will prompt you to set up the Your Phone app on your PC, tap ‘My PC is ready.’

Tap ‘Allow’ to make a connection.

Lastly, make sure Your Phone Companion app has ‘Notification Access’ permission.
