Xiaomi 100W Super Charge Turbo is also the world’s first flash charging and is double the power of Oppo’s SuperVOOC charge that has 50W support. While SuperVOOC charges a battery having capacity of 3,730mAh battery in just 35 minutes, Xiaomi Super Charge Turbo technology can juice up a 4,000mAh battery in mere 17 minutes.

Xiaomi’s Co-founder and President Lin Bin has also shared a video of the Super Charge Turbo technology on the social media platform Weibo. The video clearly shows Xiaomi Super Charge Turbo charges a 4,000mAh smartphone from dead to 100 per cent in just 17 minutes. The company has compared its 100W fast charging with OPPO’s 50W SuperVOOC fast charging.

Lu Weibing, Head, Redmi, has announced that the company will soon put Super Charge Turbo technology into mass production for its smartphones. The exact timeframe of the technology coming to the masses is yet unknown. While flagship phones are now coming with wireless charging, the development in the wired charging has been relatively slow. Xiaomi continues to lead the Indian smartphone market in the sub-20k segment with phones such as Redmi Note 7 Pro, Redmi Note 6, etc.

Xiaomi will soon launch Mi A3 and Mi A3 Lite in India. The Chinese maker has already started testing of these two devices which are likely to fall into the family of Android One smartphones.
