The second in the SimCity series, SimCity 2000 was released in 1993 by Maxis for Apple Macintosh platforms. The 90’s video game was designed by Will Wright; it is a city-building simulation game with single-player mode.

2. Fallout 3

Fallout 3 is an open world 90’s video game; it is third in the Fallout series and based on post-apocalyptic action role-playing. Fallout 3 was developed by Bethesda Game Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks. It was released for platforms including Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

3. NBA Jam

If you are a basketball fan you couldn’t have missed out on this basketball video game based on the National Basketball Association. NBA Jam is a 90’s video game developed as an arcade game by Midway and published by Midway. It was first released in 1993.

4. Contra

Contra, the 90’s video game series was first released in 1987 in run and gun-style shoot-‘em-up genre. The player is supposed to be an armed commando and battle against all kind of extraterrestrial elements. Contra was developed and published by Konami.

5. Duck Hunt

Duck Hunt was released in 1984 as a light gun shooter video game. In Duck Hunt, the player had to shoot ducks appearing on screen and to reach on to the next level player has to kill a number of ducks. It was developed and published by Nintendo for NES video game console.

Tetris is one of the best selling games by Nintendo Entertainment and definitely one of the favourite puzzle video games for a 90’s child. This tile-matching 90’s video game was originally Russian game designer Alexey Pajitnov. It is available on almost all video game playing platforms.

7. Super PacMan

With little alterations, in Super PacMan, fourth in the PacMan series and second by the original developers Namco the player has to eat keys to open up varied sections of the maze. It can be played by two players with alternate turns.

8. Road Fighter

Race your way through grassy plains, water bridges, seashores, mountains and forest areas with Road Fighter video game; It was the first racing arcade video game developed by Konami. The goal in the game is to reach the finish line within the stipulated time frame.

9. Double Dragon

Double Dragon, a beat’em up 90’s video game was developed by Tecno Japan and published by Taito. The player takes the control of martial artist Billy or Jimmy to save the love interest of Billy. They have to fight 7 different types of enemies.

10. Commando

Commando video game is set during World War II and the story is based on the adventures of a fictional British Commando’s unit. The 90’s video game is a five-game series developed by Pyro Studios and published by Eidos Interactive.
